Pete Drake

American steel-guitar player, record producer, and record-label owner based out of Nashville, Tennessee. For the 1964 release a release on Cumberland Records Pete used Dean Dallas due to contractual restrictions. He also was incorporating his own unique sound as a "Talking Steel Guitar" using the sound of a talking box while playing steel guitar was new in the 1960s, and it made the sounds of vocalizing along with the strings of the steel guitar.
