American jazz producer and writer, born March 2, 1923, The Bronx, New York, USA - died March 1, 2015, El Cerrito, California, USA.
Co-founder of Riverside Records (1953) with Bill Grauer, Milestone Records (1966) with Dick Katz and established Landmark Records (3) in 1985. Supervised reissues in his later career, including a release, a 24 CD box-set. Father of critic Peter Keepnews.
