John Mahoney

Jazz and R&B songwriter, arranger, pianist, synthesizer player and trombonist, also involved in commercial music (programming, engineering, production). Leader of the New Orleans based jazz big band bearing his name. Educator and long time Director of Jazz Studies at Loyola University, New Orleans where he began as Coordinator of Jazz Studies and became Director of Jazz Band in Fall 1985. He had previously studied at Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York.
