George Harrison

British rock guitarist, singer-songwriter and film producer (born February 25 1943 in Liverpool, England, UK - died November 29, 2001 in Los Angeles, California, USA). Best known as lead guitarist of The Beatles.
By the mid-1960s, he had become an admirer of Indian culture and mysticism, introducing it to the other Beatles. In 1968, he travelled with the other Beatles to Rishikesh, in northern India, to study meditation with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
