Lisa Dal Bello

Canadian performer, born 22 May 1959 in Weston, Ontario. Her career has run the musical spectrum, beginning in soul/funk in the '70's, moving to pop rock in the early '80's, then changing to alternative rock in the mid-'80's. She changed her professional name at this time to simply 'Dalbello', and transformed her image and music as well, becoming a much more alternative performer. Her music has gotten increasingly harder and darker with each album.

Her songs have been recorded by the likes of Heart, Julie Masse and Queensrÿche, who had a huge hit with their version of her masterpiece 'Gonna Get Close To You'.
