Born Oct. 28, 1960 in Næstved, Denmark.
Died Feb. 24, 2011 in Geneva, Switzerland.

Married to drummer and music teacher Karen Mortensen. They had two children, singer Malene Mortensen (born 1982) and pianist Carl Winther (born 1984).
