Geoff Reecer

American Guitarist. Geoffrey Reecer is the guitarist with the Airmen of Note, The United States Air Force Band, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. A native of Potomac, Maryland, his career in the Air Force began in 2004.
Reecer earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in music business from the University of Maryland in 1994. He was a first place winner in the Emerging Jazz Artist Competition held at the East Coast Jazz Festival in 1993. Reecer studied with Jim Hall, Charlie Banacos and Walt Weiskopf. He performed extensively as a freelance musician in the D.C. area for several years prior to enlisting in the Air Force.
