Dan Armstrong

American guitarist, luthier and session musician, born October 7, 1934, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; died June 8, 2004, Los Angeles, California (age 69).

Active in the 1960s and 1970s. In 1965, opened his own guitar repair shop, "Dan Armstrong's Guitar Service," in New York. Became known for developing Plexiglas guitars for Ampeg. Relocated to London in the early 1970s, and back to the U.S. in 1977.
